What is the Pittsburgh
Pro Series?
The Pittsburgh Pro Series is a premier seasonal competition circuit for Street Fighter 6, hosted by Sanctum Esports Cafe in Pittsburgh, PA. Spanning six months of bi-weekly events, the series brings together top regional talent and rising competitors for a consistent, high-stakes path to glory — culminating in a Finale event with a $5,000 prize pool.
Structured to emphasize both competitive integrity and community growth, the Pittsburgh Pro Series awards leaderboard points to the top 16 finishers at each event. To qualify for the Finale, players must compete in at least six events across the season, ensuring that only the most consistent and committed rise to the top. The Finale format is first-to-five, single elimination, offering no second chances — only one will claim the title.
With a strong local base and growing out-of-state interest, the series serves as a platform for the Pittsburgh FGC to showcase its depth, talent, and identity while inviting challengers from across the region. Whether you're a veteran seeking a championship run or a new face looking to test your mettle, the Pittsburgh Pro Series offers a professionally-run, grassroots-powered proving ground.
Why the Pittsburgh Pro Series Calls Sanctum Home
The Pittsburgh Pro Series isn’t just a tournament circuit — it’s a statement of identity. And that’s why it lives and breathes inside Sanctum Esports Cafe, a venue built not out of profit, but out of purpose.
Before Sanctum had walls, setups, or a business license, it was a corner of borrowed space where passionate players refused to let the Pittsburgh FGC fade into memory. When events dried up and venues disappeared, the community didn’t scatter — it came together. A group of local competitors began hosting grassroots meetups, determined to keep the scene alive through friendship, grind, and grit.
That grassroots energy became what is now Sanctum — a space designed from the ground up to serve as a refuge for players, a gathering place for a growing scene, and the competitive heartbeat of a city with deep FGC roots. Sanctum isn’t just a venue — it’s the home of the Pittsburgh Fighting Game Community.
The Pittsburgh Pro Series was always meant to be more than just brackets and prize money. It’s a proving ground, a celebration of competition, and a platform for local players to rise. Holding it at Sanctum ensures it never loses that soul. The same players who stood in an empty room and brought their own monitors are now running tournament stations and welcoming the next generation.
In a time when esports is often defined by flashy stages and distant venues, the Pittsburgh Pro Series stands firmly on familiar ground — held in the house the community built.
This is more than a tournament.
This is home turf.
