RULES & REGULATIONS

Official rules governing the Pittsburgh Pro Series and Pittsburgh Premier League. All participants are expected to read and understand these rules before competing.

PPS STREET FIGHTER 6 RULES

I. General Tournament Rules

  1. Game: Street Fighter 6 (latest version)
  2. Platform: PlayStation 5 (subject to change at organizer's discretion)
  3. Format: Double Elimination Bracket (subject to change based on entrant count)
  4. Match Length: All matches Best 2-of-3. Winners Finals, Losers Finals, and Grand Finals are Best 3-of-5.
  5. Character Selection: Players declare their character at the start of the first match. Only the losing player may change characters for subsequent sets. The winning player must remain with the same character.
  6. Controllers: Standard PS5 controllers, fight sticks, and officially licensed converters permitted. Turbo functions are banned. Wireless controllers are not permitted. Controllers may be inspected at any time.
  7. Disconnections: Before a round starts — match restarts. During a round — disconnecting player forfeits that round. Excessive or intentional disconnections may result in disqualification.
  8. Match Procedure: Players must be present at their assigned station at the designated match time. Failure to appear within 10 minutes may result in a forfeit.
  9. Conduct: Players must maintain respectful communication. Unsportsmanlike conduct, harassment, or cheating will not be tolerated and may result in disqualification.
  10. Spectator Conduct: Spectators must not interfere with matches. Disruptive behavior may result in removal from the venue.
  11. Organizer Discretion: Tournament organizers reserve the right to modify rules at any time. Organizer decisions are final.
  12. Registration Cap: Each tournament capped at 32 unique entrants. The season series is also capped at 32 unique entrants.

II. CPT Core Rules

  1. Game Version: Latest version of Street Fighter 6.
  2. Character Legality: All officially released characters are legal.
  3. Match Settings: Standard tournament settings confirmed before each event.
  4. Glitches/Bugs: Exploiting known glitches is prohibited. Report discovered glitches to officials immediately.
  5. Hardware/Software: Unauthorized hardware or software results in immediate disqualification.
  6. Code of Conduct: Participants are expected to adhere to a high standard of sportsmanship.

III. Prize Pool (Regular Events)

  1. Prize pool = total entrant fees + $50 pot bonus from venue
  2. 1st Place: 60% of total prize pool
  3. 2nd Place: 30% of total prize pool
  4. 3rd Place: 10% of total prize pool

IV. Season Progression & Finale

  1. Season lasts 6 months with bi-weekly tournaments (2 per month)
  2. Points awarded to Top 16 finishers per event
  3. Top 8 players by season end qualify for the Finale
  4. Finale format: Double Elimination, all matches First-to-3 (FT3)
  5. Finale hosted on the main stage at the Pittsburgh Gaming Expo (PGX 2026)
  6. Finale prize pool: $5,000 — distributed 44% / 25% / 16% / 7% / 3%×2 / 1%×2
  7. Payouts via cash or PayPal within 30–60 days of event completion

V. Registration

  1. Register via Start.GG at start.gg/PGHSanctum
  2. Venue Fee: $15 day pass OR $45 monthly membership (covers all month's tournaments, excluding game fee)
  3. Game Entry Fee: $5 per tournament — funds the prize pool
  4. Registration closes 1 hour before each event
  5. No refunds for cancellations or no-shows
  6. Players must bring their own controllers and equipment

VI–IX. Conduct, Streaming & Disclaimers

  1. All participants must maintain respectful, sportsmanlike conduct. Violations may result in disqualification and/or ban from future events.
  2. The PPS will be streamed and/or recorded. By competing, participants consent to use of their likeness in promotional materials and live content.
  3. Tournament organizers reserve the right to modify these rules at any time without prior notice.

PPL OFFICIAL RULES — 2026 SEASON

1. Team Structure & The Draft

  1. Rosters: Each team consists of exactly 3 players.
  2. The Draft: Players in the registration pool are selected by Captains. Once drafted, you are committed to that squad for the full 6-month season.
  3. Eligibility: Players must be registered in the Draft Pool by Wednesday, April 1st at 11:59 PM to be eligible for selection.

2. Match Format & Scoring

  1. Match 1 — Vanguard: FT2 — 10 points
  2. Match 2 — Center: FT2 — 10 points
  3. Match 3 — Anchor: FT3 — 20 points
  4. Tie-Breaker: FT1 — 5 points

3. Lineup & Counter-Pick Rules

  1. Full Roster Participation: Each of the 3 players must play exactly one set per league night. No repeats (aside from Tie-Breaker Bo1).
  2. Home Team Declares: Home team must declare their 3-player lineup and starting characters 15 minutes before match begins.
  3. Away Team Counter-Picks: After seeing the Home lineup, the Away team assigns their players to counter each slot.
  4. Anchor Rotation: The same player cannot serve as Anchor for two consecutive league nights.
  5. Tie-Breaker Protocol: Home team declares player and character first. Away team then announces their counter-pick. Any of the 3 players may be used.
  6. In-Game: Winner must stay; loser may switch character or control type.

4. Season Standings & Finals

  1. Regular Season: 6 League Nights (Double Round Robin). Teams ranked by total points.
  2. Top 2 Teams advance to the Grand Finals.
  3. Finals Format: First-to-70 (FT70) — teams play consecutive Vanguard/Center/Anchor rotations until one team reaches 70 total points.
  4. Prize Pool: $1,000 USD split 33/33/33 among winning team members.

5. Attendance & Conduct

  1. All matches played at Sanctum Esports Cafe.
  2. Teams must be present for lineup declarations. League nights may run later than standard open brackets.
  3. September 19th is the only buffer for rescheduled matches (Makeup Night).
